By the mid-1980s, Reba had solidified her place among country's elite earning hit after hit and award after award all the while wearing her signature rodeo belt buckle which was a nod to her family's roots. Two landmark albums - 1984's My Kind of Country and 1986's Whoever's in New England - played sigificant roles in furthering her career.
