Hootie goes country?  Well, that's just what happened in 2008 when Darius Rucker released his debut solo country project Learn to Live which featured three singles in a row - "Don't Think I Don't Think About It," "It Won't Be Like This For Long" and "Alright" - that went straight to number one.  This feat also made him the first African-American to top the charts since the days of Charley Pride.
