Today in country music history:

2001 - People magazine picked Brad Paisley as one of its "Sexy Men 2001."

1997 - One day after its release, Garth Brooks' Sevens album broke a record by placing 12 of the album's 14 songs in the "Hot Country Singles and Tracks Chart" in Billboard magazine. Garth held the previous record when his album Fresh Horses placed eight tracks on that same chart.
