A team of eye doctors is hoping to avoid any further catastrophes at the hands of the ref that blew the call ending Monday night's game between the Seattle Seahawks and the Green Bay Packers -- by giving him free eye surgery.
According to WBAY-TV, Optivision Eye Care in Oshkosh, WI is offering free eye exams for any ref who worked the game, but free LASIK surgery for the ref who called a touchdown for Seattle that should have been called an interception by the Packers.
"It would solve his nearsightedness, that's for sure," said Dr. Gerald Clarke to the ABC affiliate about the gratis surgery for Elliot. "He could finally see beyond his arm, which is what he needs to see, something beyond his own three feet in front of him, because he's pretty much nearsighted from that standpoint."
"We're afraid he's a hazard to the population, if he gets out there driving with his eyesight the way it is, he can't see anything to the side, he cant see anything straight ahead, Im afraid he's going to kill somebody," Dr. Clarke said.
