1997 - Alan Jackson and his wife Denise welcomed a daughter, Dani Grace Jackson. She was the couples third child.
1993 - Tracy Lawrence ascended to the number one spot on the country chart with "Can't Break It to My Heart." On the same day, Reba McEntire's duet with Linda Davis, "Does He Love You," debuted on the chart on its way to number one.
1982 - George Straits single, "Fool-Hearted Memory," became his first number one.
