2005 - Troy Gentry of Montgomery Gentry broke his left ankle and tore ligaments in his knee in a horse riding accident. Montgomery Gentry was forced to cancel several shows.
2004 - Toby Keith earned another number one hit with "Whiskey Girl."
2000 - Customs officials at Chicago's O'Hare Airport seized a shipment of promotional CD singles by country singer Kenny Chesney. The single "I Lost It" came packaged with something called "English Water."
1995 - Blackhawk's single "I'm Not Strong Enough to Say No" was released.
1993 - John Anderson went to number one with "Money in the Bank."
1970 - Johnny Cash recorded Kris Kristofferson's "Sunday Morning Coming Down" at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.
1965 - Roy Acuff broke his collarbone and fractured his pelvis in a car crash in east Tennessee.
1952 - Hank and Audrey Williams were divorced for the second and final time.
