1986 - Steve Earle's album Guitar Town was released.
1976 - Johnny Cash recorded "One Piece at a Time."
1973 - Alabama made their debut at The Bowery in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. They were billed as Wildcountry.
1963 - Patsy Cline was killed in a plane crash in Camden, Tennessee along with Cowboy Copas and Hawkshaw Hawkins.
1960 - Elvis Presley was honorably discharged from the Army.
1955 - Elvis Presley made his first TV appearance on a show called Louisiana Hayride on KWKH-TV.
