2008 - Dierks Bentley played the Lollapalooza rock festival in Chicago's Grant Park. His fans wore t-shirts that said, "Who the hell is Dierks Bentley?" to the show.
2006 - The Cars soundtrack was certified gold. Brad Paisley's song "Behind the Clouds" and "Find Yourself" and Rascal Flatts' version of "Life is a Highway" were included on the album.
2005 - ABC-TV aired the CMA Music Festival: Country Music's Biggest Party special featuring appearances from Keith Urban, Sugarland, Rascal Flatts, Alan Jackson and more.
2003 - Brooks & Dunn took the top spot with their single "Red Dirt Road."
2000 - Neal McCoy's self-titled album went gold.
1988 - Dwight Yoakam's album Buenas Noches from a Lonely Room was certified gold.
1986 - George Strait took "Nobody in His Right Mind Would've Left Her" to number one.
1979 - Leon Russell and Willie Nelson's duet album, One for the Road, was certified gold.
