2006 - Don Williams performed his final concert in Nashville. Keith Urban was the surprise opening act and Josh Turner made a special appearance with Don on "Lord, I Hope This Day is Good."

2005 - The movie Black Cloud opened in seven cities featuring Tim McGraw in the role of a sheriff.

2001 - Billy Ray Cyrus' TV drama Doc premiered.

1992 - Garth Brooks' album No Fences became the first country album certified for shipment of seven million copies.

1969 - Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs officially split their bluegrass duo after 25 years together.
