2001 - Billy Ray Cyrus' TV drama Doc premiered.
1992 - Garth Brooks' album No Fences became the first country album certified for shipment of seven million copies.
1969 - Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs officially split their bluegrass duo after 25 years together.
