1992 - Patty Loveless had vocal surgery for a leaking blood vessel at Vanderbilt University.
1991 - Clint Black married Lisa Hartman in Houston.
1979 - Larry Gatlin & The Gatlin Brothers earned a number one hit with "All the Gold in California."
1958 - Ray Price's song "City Lights" became the first tune written by Bill Anderson to hit number one on the country chart.
