2005 - Faith Hill's album, Fireflies, went gold and platinum on the same day.  

2005 - Gary Allan's album, Tough All Over, was released.

2003 - Tim McGraw's song "Real Good Man" went to number one.

2002 - The Dixie Chicks' album Home went triple platinum.

1982 - Alabama won Entertainer, Vocal Group and Instrumental Group of the Year at the CMA Awards.

1981 - Willie Nelson recorded "Always on My Mind" outside Austin, Texas.
