2004 - Keith Urban kicked off his first tour in Muncie, Indiana.

2003 - Dolly Parton and Melissa Etheridge taped an episode of CMT Crossroads in Los Angeles.

2002 - Trace Adkins suffered a hairline sternum fracture when he was pinned under a tractor in an accident on his Tennessee property.

1999 - The all sisters country trio SheDaisy made their debut on the Grand Ole Opry.

1994 - Toby Keith went to number one with "Who's That Man."

1984 – Anne Murray won the Country Music Association’s Album of the Year Award for A Little Good News. Murray was the first woman to achieve this honor.

1977 - The Kendalls scored their first number one hit with "Heaven's Just A Sin Away."
