2005 - Sugarland teamed up with Bon Jovi for a taping of CMT Crossroads in New York City.
2003 - Alan Jackson and Jimmy Buffett began an eight-week stay at number one with "It's Five O'Clock Somewhere."
2003 - Rascal Flatts' Jay DeMarcus popped the question to Allison Alderson in New York City. She agreed to marry him.
2002 - Rascal Flatts' video for "These Days" premiered.
1986 - The Judds took the top spot with "Rockin' with the Rhythm of the Rain."
1975 - Freddy Fender went to number one with "Wasted Days and Wasted Nights."
1960 - Johnny Horton recorded "North to Alaska" in Nashville. It would be his final recording.
1952 - Hank Williams missed a scheduled performance on the Grand Ole Opry. Opry manager Jim Denny fired him two days later.
