2000 - Natalie Maines of The Dixie Chicks married actor Adrian Pasdar at A Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas after a Chicks concert.
1998 Tanya Tucker filed a 300 thousand-dollar lawsuit against Capitol Records Nashville, claiming the label willfully neglected her career.
1995 - Tracy Lawrence went to number one with "Texas Tornado."
1989 - Rosanne Cash topped the country chart with a cover of The Beatles' "I Don't Want to Spoil The Party."
1989 - Garth Brooks made his Grand Ole Opry debut
