2009 - George Jones' "He Stopped Loving Her Today" was released to the Library of Congress' National Recording Registry.

2008 - Brad Paisley's single "Waitin' on a Woman" was released.

2004 - Joe Nichols and Sara Evans hosted CMT's 100 Greatest Love Songs concert. Josh Turner, Randy Travis, Brad Paisley, Dierks Bentley and Lee Ann Womack were among the performers on the show.

2003 - Phil Vassar appeared on NBC-TV's Days of Our Lives performing in a scene that referenced Fan Fair.

2001 - Kenny Chesney made a surprise appearance at the Grand Ole Opry and sang "A Lot of Things Different" for the first time live. The song was written by Opry member Bill Anderson.

1993 - Reba and Linda Davis recorded "Does He Love You."

1990 - George Strait kicked off a five-week stay at number one with "Love Without End, Amen."

1984 - Lorrie Morgan joined the Grand Ole Opry.

1979 - Kenny Rogers went to number one with "She Believes in Me."
